What is Gakuran?

Gakuran (学乱) is a school fighting PvP game on Roblox set in Japan, May 2007. You create a student character, roll a fighting style and a height, then brawl against other players. Combat is built around three things: light attacks (M1) for combos, heavy attacks (M2) that can't be blocked, and parries that stun the attacker for a free punish. Get the timing right and you'll win even with a weaker style.

There are 8 fighting styles, each with its own bonuses, roll rate, and preferred height range. Boxing and Wrestling sit at S-Tier, Basic is free-to-play friendly, and Slugger is mostly a trap. Height is the only character stat that affects gameplay — tall builds hit harder and tank more, short builds attack and dodge faster. You match your style to your height to get the most out of it.

Getting started costs nothing: the game is free on Roblox, and codes hand out free rerolls so you can swap styles or stats. You'll need to join the community group (416091513) and add at least 5 friends before you can play. This guide covers the styles, the tier list, how height works, the controls, and every working code.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Gakuran?

Gakuran (学乱) is a school fighting PvP game on Roblox set in May 2007 Japan. You create a student, roll a fighting style and height, and fight other players. Parrying and heavy attacks (M2) are the core of combat — blocking doesn't work against heavies.

How many fighting styles are there?

Eight: Boxing, Wrestling, Basic, Muay Thai, Capoeira, Hakari, Karate, and Slugger. You roll one at character creation. Basic is most common (40%), while Wrestling and Capoeira are the rarest at 5% each.

How do I get codes?

Open the left-side menu dropdown in-game, select the Codes section at the bottom, enter the code, and click Redeem. Codes give free rerolls for your fighting style and stats. You must join the Roblox community group (416091513) and have at least 5 friends to play.

What is the best fighting style?

Boxing and Wrestling are S-Tier. Boxing shines on short/medium builds with i-frame heavy attacks, while Wrestling is built for tall builds with grab-and-slam punishes. Basic (A-Tier) is free-to-play friendly and rewards perfect blocking.

Is Gakuran free to play?

Yes, Gakuran is free on Roblox. You need a Roblox account, and you must join the community group and have 5 friends. Rerolling your style or stats costs 5 Robux each, but codes give free rerolls.
